Ethan Jostad

On August 6th, 2009 at the young age of seven, Ethan Jostad was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. There were no signs he had cancer and by the time he was diagnosed the cancer had spread giving him a 15% of survival. Ethan battled like a warrior for two long years traveling from Oregon to New York for treatment. He received 8 toxic chemo’s and more than 40 rounds of radiation. Ethan sadly lost his battle on August 8th, 2011 at the age of nine years old.

Ethan was a free spirit with a huge heart and a love for others. Even through his own battle Ethan would always think of others and would do things for other children fighting to make them smile. He brought people together and made a difference in their lives.

The Ethan Jostad Foundation was established in his memory and we continue his legacy to make a difference in the lives of others. Our mission is creating smiles for courageous warriors through toy packages, providing financial assistance to families with children battling and funding research. We could not do what we do without the amazing love and compassion from all our supporters.
